That’s a Wrap! Flow Community Rewards Season 1 Has Concluded

The Forte network upgrade is one of the most significant feature releases in the history of Flow. Forte advances the Flow network across three pillars - consumer-scale readiness, developer experience, and protocol robustness.

For the first time in sports collectibles, every NBA Top Shot Moment – the video highlight, the artwork, the metadata, everything – will be stored on a decentralized network starting this season. This represents a paradigm shift in how digital collectibles are built, owned, and preserved.

Blockchain and Web3 development can seem intimidating at first, but the Flow network and its smart contract language Cadence make it surprisingly accessible. This guide walks through building a complete blockchain application from scratch, all the way to a working "Hello World" example with a React frontend.

Earlier this year, the team at the Flow Foundation hosted an internal hackathon designed to push the boundaries of what's possible on the Flow blockchain. This event brought together 16 of the talented Flow core team members to build over the course of a week, resulting in 10 unique projects. Each submission was then demoed live to a panel of community judges, to elicit feedback and community input.
